Quick and flavorful, this Sautéed Asparagus is tender, buttery, and packed with garlicky goodness. It’s a simple, fresh and delicious side that pairs perfectly with any main course!
Wash and dry your asparagus and line them up on a cutting board. Trim the woody ends off and discard them.
Place the asparagus in a large skillet, then pour the water over the top.
Cover with a lid and steam over medium heat for 3-4 minutes or until they are tender, but not overly soft. Remove the asparagus, set them on paper towels to dry, then discard the water.
Add in the butter and once melted, add in the garlic. Sauté for about 20 seconds, making sure not to brown it, or it will become bitter.
Add the asparagus back in along with the salt and ground black pepper, then toss in the garlic butter. Serve with your favorite protein.
