🔪 How to Make the Best Baked Potatoes
Preheat air fryer to 390°F for 4 minutes.
Wash and dry your potatoes. Piece each potato several times using a fork or the tip of a sharp knife.
Rub all sides of each potato with the olive oil and sprinkle with the sea salt, making sure all sides are evenly coated.
Place them in your air fryer basket, be sure they do not touch each other so the air can circulate around them.
Air fry for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through. Cooking times will depend on the size of your potatoes. If they are on the smaller side, check them at the 30 minute mark, while larger potatoes might take closer to 45 minutes.
Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly before cutting into them. Add your favorite toppings and serve.

Why use an Air Fryer to make baked potatoes?
Air frying is undoubtedly faster than using a conventional oven. Because Air Fryers heat up very quickly, the circulating air means that food will get perfectly browned and crisp evenly all over. It's also nice to not have to turn on your big oven, especially in the warmer months.
Do I need to wrap the potatoes in foil before air frying?
No. If you wrap the potatoes in foil, you won't get that nice crispy skin.
What Potatoes are best for baking potatoes?
Russet potatoes are my #1 choice for air frying. You can also use sweet potatoes, as I did in this Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes recipe!
How many potatoes can I bake in the Air Fryer?
Most air fryer baskets can accommodate 3-4 potatoes, again depending on size. Don't overcrowd as the air fryer needs room for air flow around the potatoes. The cooking time remains the same no matter how many potatoes are being cooked.
Do I have to use oil on the potatoes?
You can eliminate this step, but the potatoes will have a less crispy skin, purely optional and your choice.
Can I prepare baked potatoes in advance?
Yes, just air fry the potatoes, cool and keep in the fridge, they should be okay for up to 3 days. Reheat quick and easy in the microwave.

Despite Pain
Your baked potatoes look delicious. I started using an air fryer last year and love it. It's used more than my normal oven. Toasted sandwiches are nice too!

Do times differ, if only baking one potato
Nutritious Deliciousness
The exact time will differ depending on the size and the number of potatoes. I would suggest reducing the time by about 5-10 minutes, then check for doneness.
